[Like a magnet?? Yu isn't sure he would agree, isn't entirely sure how he feels about that, but-- his face reddens a bit at the implications. At all of it, really, especially the unexpected... well, he's not sure he'd agree with selfishness, but it seems a little like possessiveness, from his partner.
(Weirdly, he doesn't mind that...)
He sits up as well, leaning forward a bit, considering his response for a moment.]
My 'person.' [Eyebrows lifted, amusement tugging at the corner of a smile. Sorry, Yosuke, your persistent inability to use words is kind of funny.]
That's fine with me. You already are. [His favorite. His expression is more genuine as he says it, less teasing.]
... and, if there's anyone else you want to go out with, you should. [Look everyone should see a tiddy at least once in their lives, no need to deprive yourself.]
[don't give him that look, Yu. his face gets hot again at the amused look, and he starts pouting instead.]
Hey, I'm improvising here!! Just give me a break!!
[HUFF]
Someone told me recently [lol Akira] that not everyone has to have a label for everything. So I didn't know what to say, I just... blurted out the first thing I thought of. But you get what I meant, anyway. I just wanna be special, a little.
[he's not going to respond to the date thing outside of shrugging his shoulders. it's not really something he's too concerned with -- Yu's pretty much one of the only people who can tolerate Yosuke as much as he does.
[Alright, alright. Break afforded. Yu leaves it alone...at least for now. (He tucks it away in his mind for use at some other dumb time.)
He pauses at the implications of that, though. Not everyone has to have a label...that's sort of where he feels most comfortable anyway, at least for right now. Labels get messy and complicated; this is simpler, and so...maybe it'll be easier for them both to figure out as time goes on. Something about that...he's really grateful for it.
... It's hard to say what inspires it, but Yu leans forward, puts a hand on the back of Yosuke's neck to hold him steady so he can press their foreheads together. Maybe it's just a quick way to eye contact, but-- it felt right, anyway.]
You are. To me, you are.
[The very first friend he made in Inaba. His very best friend. And-- yeah, yeah. His person.]
[Yosuke's feelings are still all over the place, and all of it is good. the best possible solution to the situation he's in, having someone reciprocate his care for them. it's something he'd tried to run away from after he met Yu, a longing and knowing that he might like the other boy like that as they spent more and more time together. he'd settled on at home on an intense, platonic love, but here it'd grown into something different. it was accidental, really. a brief conversation over text, a few months of denial/acceptance/denial and finally, they're here. in the floor, naked, but here.
and he's so incredibly happy.
he's so overcome that the only thing he can do now is press his lips against Yu's now, hard and intense. there's no other words he can really say at the moment, because this sort of thing... he just can't translate them.]
